Trainer/Assessor Vacancy in Plymouth

The Focus Training Group are looking for an experienced electrician to train and assess electrical apprentices on the new standards. You will primarily be based in Plymouth but will be required to visit other offices for meetings and training. This position will ideally suit an experienced electrician looking for a career change or an experienced assessor. You will be required to complete site visits with the learners, complete the portfolios to the 5357 standard and ensure the learners are fully prepared to sit their final AM2S exam.

You will need a positive, flexible attitude and good IT skills. Good communication and motivation skills are essential.

The successful applicant with need to undergo a check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) as a condition of the job offer.

Working hours will be 37.5 per week Monday-Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm.

An assessors qualification is preferred but not essential.

Applicants will need relevant industry qualifications (NVQ 3 or equivalent) plus at least five years ‘on the tools’. If you don’t already hold a Level 3 testing qualification, JIB Card, (Electrician Grade minimum), assessor award and a first aid qualification we can arrange and fund this training as part of your induction process.

We offer a generous travel allowance, pension scheme, sick and holiday entitlement.

Salary: £26,000.00 to £28,000.00 /year
