Trainer/Assessor Vacancy in Bristol


The Focus Training Group are looking for an experienced electrician to train and assess electrical apprentices on the new standards. You will primarily be required to work in Bristol but will be required to visit our Exeter office for meetings and training. This position will ideally suit an experienced electrician looking for a career change or an experienced lecturer/trainer.

You will need a positive, flexible attitude and basic IT skills. Good communication and motivation skills are essential

The successful applicant with need to undergo a check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) as a condition of the job offer.

Job Type / Category

Working hours will be 37.5 per week Monday-Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

A teaching qualification is preferred but not essential.

Applicants will need relevant industry qualifications (NVQ 3 or equivalent) plus at least five years ‘on the tools’. If you don’t already hold a Level 3 testing qualification, JIB Card, (Electrician Grade minimum), assessor award and a first aid qualification we can arrange and fund this training as part of your induction process.


We offer a generous travel allowance, sick and holiday entitlement, pension scheme and death in service scheme.

Salary: £28,000.00 to £32,000.00 /year depending on experience
