Installation Electrician/Maintenance Electrician Apprenticeship
The Installation Electrician/Maintenance Electrician Apprenticeship is a nationally recognised Level 3 programme known as a ‘gold standard for green skills’. It prepares you to install, test, and maintain electrical systems in industrial, commercial, and residential settings.
As part of this apprenticeship, you’ll work with low voltage electrical systems (up to 1000V AC or 1500V DC) across a range of environments — from construction sites to residential buildings and communal areas.
In addition, you’ll gain skills in:
- Installation and commissioning of new systems
- Maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic equipment
- Working with automated systems and production equipment
Once qualified, many electricians choose to become self-employed or run their own businesses.
