This award covers the full content of BS 5839-1:2017, Fire detection and fire alarm systems for buildings. Part 1 covers the Code of practice for design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of systems in non-domestic premises. It provides understanding of legislation and standards relating to fire detection and fire alarm systems.

Who is this course aimed at?

It is intended for learners/engineers who are working in the fire-sector of the electrical industry and wish to update or refresh their understanding of this essential BSI publication. It may also be useful to electricians to gain an understanding of the standard.
