Qualification: AAT Assistant Accountant Level 3 Apprenticeship
Duration: 18 months plus 3 months EPA period
Delivery: One day per week hybrid classroom and/or online delivery in Redruth, Plymouth, Exeter or Bristol
Workplace support: Your designated Assessor will visit you in the workplace to support the development of your professional portfolio and complete quarterly progress reviews
Assessment: An End Point Assessment (EPA) will assess your knowledge, skills and behaviours following completion of the on-programme learning

• Relevant workplace experience may be considered
• GCSE or Functional Skills Level 2 maths and English must be achieved prior to EPA
• Focus Training offers free personalised Functional Skills support alongside the Apprenticeship if required

✅ Costs
• This is a government-funded initiative: Apprentices are not required to pay for their training
• Employers with a wage bill under £3 million contribute 5% of the training cost
• The funding band for this Apprenticeship is £8,000 (employer contribution £400 + VAT where applicable)
• Employers recruiting a 16–21 year old Apprentice are exempt from the employer contribution
• Employers receive a £1,000 government incentive for Apprentices aged 16–18
