Our AAT Skills Bootcamp is designed to prepare you for a rewarding career working with numbers in finance and accountancy. You’ll build essential knowledge and practical skills that employers are looking for, giving you a strong foundation to progress into work or further study.
This fully funded programme is part of the Government’s Skills Bootcamps initiative, helping adults across Cornwall access high-quality training and job opportunities.

What You Will Learn
During the Bootcamp you will cover key areas of accountancy and finance, including:
- Bookkeeping Fundamentals – understanding the basics of financial record-keeping
- Double-Entry Accounting – building a strong foundation in this core principle
- VAT and Business Transactions – learning to record and manage VAT effectively
- Business Documents – handling invoices, credit sales, and purchase orders
- Petty Cash and Expenses – managing smaller-scale financial records
Eligibility
To join this Skills Bootcamp, you must:
- Be aged 19 or over
- Be unemployed and have the right to work in the UK
- Live in Cornwall
Funding
This programme has been funded by the Cornwall Council Adult Skills Fund, making it fully funded and accessible for eligible learners.
Dates and Locations
- St Austell – starting Monday 17th November 2025
One day a week for 10 weeks.
