Here at Focus we’ve used our government-funded Skills Bootcamp provision to create a three-week, high-impact construction skills programme designed to put you a step ahead of the crowd – certified, site-ready and straight into employment with a guaranteed job interview at the end of the course.
Running from 8th to 25th June from our Plymouth Centre, this Bootcamp is 100% free for eligible adult learners (aged 19+) living in Devon who are unemployed, self-employed, or looking to switch careers and break into the sector.

This Bootcamp offers high-impact, quality training designed to build your confidence and your skill set, with a mixture of classroom insight and practical hands-on training tailored to meet the demands of a modern construction environment.
You won’t just walk away with a piece of paper. You will exit our doors with a suite of highly sought-after, industry-recognized credentials:
- Highfield Level 1 Award in Health & Safety in a Construction Environment
- Official CITB CSCS Test & Card (the essential passport for any UK site)
- Emergency First Aid Certificate
- Specialist Knowledge: Manual Handling, Fire Safety, COSHH, PPE, and Safe Use of Power Tools.
Alongside the technical understanding, we also work with you to build workplace confidence. Our dedicated professional skills team makes sure you know exactly how to sharpen your CV, prep for your interview, and understand real-world site behaviours that will set you up for success.
At the end of the course, we don’t just leave you to it, either – we’ve built a dedicated interview day directly into the programme to give you the best chance of landing your next role.
