Contract: Starting at 3 days per week with a flexible schedule to suit your availability and the potential to transition into a full-time role 

Working hours: 22.5 hours per week

Role Summary

The Focus Training Group is seeking a qualified, part-time Adult Care Apprenticeship Assessor to deliver Level 2 and Level 3 programmes (essential), with the opportunity to support up to Level 5 (desirable). The successful candidate will be based in our Cornwall centre, supporting learners across Plymouth and Cornwall.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will guide apprenticeship learners throughout their learning journey, providing professional, timely support. The role also includes the delivery of Functional Skills.

Strong IT skills are essential, and previous experience in assessing and training is advantageous. Applicants must hold a Level 3 qualification in Adult Care. An assessing or teaching qualification is desirable; however, full training and support can be provided to achieve this. Candidates should also have a minimum of five years’ experience within the sector, along with relevant qualifications.

This role involves travelling to learners’ workplaces for assessments. Flexible or reduced working hours are available, making this position suitable for those seeking school-time or term-time working arrangements.

Driving license and own car essential – Full mileage paid at 45p per mile
An Enhanced DBS check will be required.
