Take your finance career to the highest AAT level with our AAT Professional Accountant Level 4 Apprenticeship. This advanced programme is ideal for learners who have completed Level 3 or have substantial accounting experience and are ready to move into senior or supervisory roles.
You’ll gain advanced expertise in financial reporting, taxation, budgeting and strategic management accounting — preparing you for leadership positions within finance teams across a wide range of sectors.

Qualification: AAT Professional Accountant Level 4 Apprenticeship
Duration: 18 months plus 3 months EPA period
Delivery: One day per week hybrid classroom and/or online delivery in Redruth, Plymouth, Exeter or Bristol
Workplace support: Your designated Assessor will visit you in the workplace to support the development of your professional portfolio and complete quarterly progress reviews
Assessment: An End Point Assessment (EPA) including a portfolio of evidence and professional discussion
Registration includes: AAT membership, exams and textbooks

✅ Entry Requirements
- Completion of AAT Level 3 Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
- Alternatively, minimum 12 months’ relevant finance experience
- GCSE or Functional Skills Level 2 maths and English must be achieved prior to EPA
- Focus Training offers free personalised Functional Skills support alongside the Apprenticeship programme if required

✅ Costs
• This is a government-funded initiative: Apprentices are not required to pay for their training
• Employers with a wage bill of under £3 million may need to make a 5% contribution towards training costs
• The cost of this Apprenticeship is set at £12,000, with an employer contribution rate of £600 + VAT
• Employers recruiting an Apprentice aged 16–21 years old, may be exempt from paying the employer contribution
• If the Apprentice is aged 16–18 years old, employers will receive a £1,000 government incentive to be used towards training and salary costs
