Overview

The ROLO (register of land based operatives - one day training with integrated assessment) is a basic health and safety qualification which allows the operator to work on construction sites.

What topics will it cover?

It is the precursor to a CSCS card (after an on-line test). The awarding body is BALI, the British Association of Landscape Industries. Most construction companies will not allow people on their sites without some form of a health and safety qualification. This intensive one day course covers the basics of health and safety law, regulations, risk assessment, hazard awareness, protective equipment, electrical awareness, excavations, work at height, PUWER, LOLER, amongst many other things.

How long will the course take?

1 DAY

This course consists of about six hours of training with breaks and break-out sessions/discussions.

Is there an exam?

Yes, a half hour multiple-choice test. The candidate has to score 75% and above to be successful. The papers are marked on the day and the result given.

CSCS Touchscreen tests can be organised for you in addition to the ROLO.
